To investigate the effect of polyurea on protective performance a steel target plate under combination shock wave and fragments, failure characteristics, damage process micro mechanism coated plates with different coating methods explosion waves fragments were analyzed through experiments numerical simulations. The results showed that single-sided coatings aggravated when thickness was 2 mm. While greater than 4 mm could significantly reduce degree plate. When double sides, it would aggravate damage, no matter how thick was.
